Spikestream is a live streaming utility for volleyball matches. It functions as follows:
Live Processing: The App processes camera video locally on your device to overlay real-time scores.
External Transmission: The App transmits the resulting video stream directly to an external RTMP server (e.g., YouTube, Twitch, or a private server) provided by the user.
No Server Storage: Our backend servers do not store, record, or intercept any of your video or audio content. We do not have access to your live stream data.
User Responsibility: Users are solely responsible for the content they broadcast and for complying with the terms of the external streaming platforms they use.
3. Data We Collect
We collect minimal data to provide core functionality:
Authentication Data: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and a unique identifier to manage your account secure access.
Match Configurations: We store match settings (team names, RTMP URLs) so you can access them across devices.
Advertising Identifiers: We use Google AdMob, which collects device-specific information (like the Android Advertising ID) to serve advertisements.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services that may collect data to identify you:
Google Play Services: Required for App operation and Google Sign-In.
Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements. AdMob uses device identifiers to show ads and perform analytics. You can manage your consent via the App's consent menu (GDPR/UMP compliance).
Socket.IO: Used for real-time score updates during matches.
5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal basis for collecting and using personal data is:
Contractual Necessity: To provide the streaming and scoring service you requested.
Consent: For personalized advertising and account creation.
Legitimate Interests: To improve App performance, security, and fix bugs.
6. Data Security
Your data is stored on a secure Virtual Private Server (VPS) located within the European Union. We use HTTPS/TLS encryption for all communications. While we implement industry-standard security, please be aware that no service is perfectly secure.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
Retention: personal data is kept while the account is active.
Account Deletion: You can delete your account at any time within the App's settings. Upon deletion, all your personal data is permanently removed from our production servers within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
Spikestream is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 14. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover such data, we will delete it immediately.
